After the ship Dagmar Aaen was stuck for almost a year in the winter harbor of Cambridge Bay, Arved Fuchs weighed anchor for a second attempt to conquer the passage. Right from the start the expedition was not only a massive effort but also a strategy game to find the right route. But the ice didn't thaw as much as it should have for the time of year; channels were frozen over. The crew lost more and more valuable time. And when winter came early almost everyone doubted they would make it. It was the beginning of a dramatic race against time.
